Kitsap County General Election Results 2016

Port Orchard, WA…Last night millions of Americans stayed up to witness the outcome of the 2016 elections. The people of Kitsap County Washington among them. As of 8:10 p.m. on November 8th there was an estimated 30,000 ballots left to count. In these results 53.4% of the vote was for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, where as Donald Trump and Michael Pence received 39.92% of the vote. 58.8% of registered voters in Kitsap County voted Patty Murray for U.S. Senator. Chris vance received 41.2 % of votes. Jay Inslee running for Washington State Governor received 54.68% over Bill Bryant’s 45.32%.

In county news Kitsap Transit proposition number 1; the passenger only ferry investment plan 50.84% of voters voted yes. The Proposed Port Of Poulsbo Annex 2016 Proposition number 1; the enlargement of the Port of Poulsbo did not pass. The no votes outweighed the yes 56.24% to 43.76%.
