Silverdale, WA…This segment of Silverdale Way was identified within the Silverdale Way Design Report and is phase two of the total project. The primary focus is to address the capacity and safety deficiencies. Widening at the intersection at Byron Street to five lanes would provide storage at the signal and reduce the north bound queuing. This project will consist of widening to accommodate 5 lanes, traffic signal improvements, sidewalk, curb and gutter with landscape strips, channelization south of Byron Street and associated drainage improvements.
The Silverdale Way road improvement project, from NW Byron Street to NW Anderson Hill Road, is scheduled to begin construction in 2017. This project is the second phase of a total project focused on capacity and safety improvements for the corridor from State Route 3 to NW Anderson Hill Road.
• Widen roadway to 5 lanes.
• Provide 5-foot bike lanes, 6-foot planter areas, and 8-foot sidewalks.
• Install new street lighting through the project area and a new traffic signal at NW Byron Street and Silverdale Way NW.
• Upgrade the existing storm system in Silverdale Way NW and conveyance improvements in Pacific Ave NW and NW
Byron St providing stormwater treatment for the approximately 43 acre drainage basin.
