Olympia, WA…Washingtonians have the opportunity to help set state-level priorities in such areas as education, jobs and the environment. Results Washington, Gov. Jay Inslee’s data-driven initiative to make state government more effective, opened a short survey today open to all residents. “When we launched Results Washington, we worked hard to develop goals across state government that reflect the priorities of the people we serve,” Inslee said. “This survey is an easy way for families, workers, businesses and communities to weigh in on what’s important to them.”
The survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ResultsWAMe takes about five minutes to complete.
“People interact with state government in many ways. Their experiences and ideas are helpful as we continuously determine how to focus our efforts,” said Wendy Korthuis-Smith, director of Results Washington.
Results Washington is working on nearly 200 improvement areas in education, the economy, the environment, health/safety and effective government. Three years after the launch of the state program, more than half the measures are on track to meet or beat targets.
“Data and collaboration have led to real improvements,” Korthuis-Smith said. “These changes are helping struggling students, veterans forging new careers and business owners wanting to focus on their business instead of government paperwork, to name just a few examples.”
